On 26 June 2026, the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta hosted a Workshop on Drug Trafficking Patterns in the Mediterranean at St John's Cavalier, marking the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Co-hosted with the UNODC Programme Office in Malta and the Malta Police Force, and championed by H.E. Prince Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, it gathered senior Maltese authorities, leading experts and members of the diplomatic community.
The Embassy marked the Feast of St John the Baptist and the sixtieth anniversary since diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Malta and the Sovereign Order with a reception at St John's Cavalier.
