In accordance with the tradition, the Order of Malta celebrated its patron Saint, St John the Baptist. The traditional reception in proximity of the Feast of St. John the Baptist was held on 12 June at the Embassy and it was attended by over 200 people.

These included representatives of the political class and the current government, the institutional, ecclesiastical, military, and civil dignitaries, and the Diplomatic Corps.

Welcoming speeches were made by H.E. Ambassador Ruffo di Calabria and H.E. President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono followed by a wonderful performance of the brass segment from the Band of the Armed Forces of Malta led by their Maestro Captain Jonathan Borg.
