H.E. Ambassador Ruffo di Calabria attended the Solemn Mass taken place at St John’s Co-Cathedral concelebrated by Archbishop Charles Scicluna, followed by the state ceremony at the Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta. H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono took the oath, swearing to uphold the Constitution, during a ceremony in the Throne Room. Her speech is available here.

After the ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Ruffo di Calabria had an exchange of greetings with the newly elected H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta. In this occasion she said that she was very interested in the history of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and especially in the humanitarian activities carried out by the Order around the world. A formal invitation to the President for an official lunch at the Embassy will follow up shortly.
