H.E. Ambassador Ruffo di Calabria is supporting the work of no profit organization “Children Not Numbers”. This NPO has identified 194 children in Gaza with an illness or injury in urgent need of short-term medical evacuation to host states equipped to manage their healthcare needs.
During the Reception at the Embassy on June, 12th the Ambassador has introduced the founders of “Children Not Numbers”, Sarah Ben-Tarifite and Somaya Ouazzani, to H.E. President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono and key representatives of the Maltese Government in the hope that Malta could host some of these children providing hospital assistance and the critical care they need. The President of Malta has assured that “Malta will not turn its back on any victim of the Middle East conflict”. Financial and organizational aids to those children will be provided by the Sovereign Order of Malta Party Team Committee led by the spouse of the Ambassador, Princess Tana de Windisch Graetz.
The founders of “Children Not Numbers” were also introduced to Ambassadors of different states, hoping that they could open diplomatic channels to evacuate some children to hospital in other countries.
